Easter in 2021 is unique from previous years, considering some events are in-person and some are virtual, but either way, there are still plenty of ways to celebrate the Holidays this April!

There are several Easter Egg Hunts scheduled in the Northern Virginia area this year including:

·         Lee-Fendall House (Alexandria, VA) Easter Egg Hunt- This hunt is scheduled for Saturday, April 3rd at 11 AM, 12 PM, 1 PM, 2 PM, and 3 PM. Face masks are required at this socially distanced event. Enjoy a session in this museum’s beautiful garden with your family, as your younger kids enjoy the Easter Egg hunt! Tickets are $15 per participating children ages 2-12. Accompanying adults are $5 and infants under 2 are free. Older family members are welcomed to participate in the games, crafts, and refreshments that will be going on during the Easter Egg hunt.

·         Fair Oaks Mall Luv2Play- This hunt is scheduled for Saturday, April 2nd, 11 AM-8 PM. There are 3 hour-long Egg Hunts scheduled for 11:30 AM, 3 PM, and 6:30 PM.  Prices are $12.95-$14.95 and can be purchased on Eventbrite for kids from 6 months old to 12 years old. There will be coloring pages, give-aways, and balloons!

·         Egg-Stravaganza at Sky Meadows State Park- This event is scheduled for April 3rd, 12 PM-4 PM. Although not quite an Easter Egg Hunt, there is a full afternoon scheduled with egg-themed programs. Enjoy the “Chicken Walk” where visitors can observe their coop roosts and laying boxes up close. All proceeds donated or spent on eggs benefit the Friends of Sky Meadows. There are also Geocaching adventures and a traditional scavenger hunt looking for a fictional character.

Easter Eggs Hunts are not the only events happening in April 2021. Enjoy these adult-friendly events taking place in Northern Virginia this Easter weekend:

·         Cocktails with Cupcake- This is event will be held at Salamander Resort & Spa on April 3rd from 4 PM to 5 PM. Come enjoy a cocktail with this adorable miniature horse named Cupcake in the Living Room of the resort. Enjoy their featured cocktail called “Cupcake Cocktail” which includes vanilla vodka, dark and light Godiva, and house-made whipped cream topped with rainbow sprinkles.

·         City of Fairfax Fishing Derby- This event is being held at Ashby Pond Conservatory on April 3rd with multiple sessions being held. Three sessions will be held at 9:30 AM, 10:15 AM, and 11 AM. A $5 registration fee is required. The conservatory will be stocked with hundreds of trout. All you have to bring is a fishing rod, bucket, and ice and the bait will be supplied!

·         Annual Cherry Blossom Festival- Although the Cherry Blossom Festival is held in Washington D.C. and not quite in Northern Virginia, this year is a little bit different! Given the unique circumstances of 2021 this year’s festival consists of both in-person and virtual events. During the weekend of April 2nd-4th three virtual events are taking place including a music show called ‘Music That Renews: American Roots,’ the ‘Sakura Matsuri virtual community gathering,’ and an interactive discussion called ‘Kimono for Kids.’

These are just some of the awesome events being held in Loudoun County, Fairfax County, and Prince William County over the Holiday weekend. What event on the list are you thinking of attending?
